PBS Engineering and Environmental, Inc (PBS) was again ranked among the Top 500 Design Firms by Engineering News Record for 2019. At position 384, the firm rose 73 slots higher from their initial debut on the nationally-recognized list two years ago. Widely considered the industry benchmark for success, ENR ranks engineering companies based on revenue for design-based services provided during the previous year.

Founded in 1982 in Portland, Oregon, PBS has grown to house more than 250 professionals in Oregon and Washington. The firm specializes in engineering, environmental, and surveying services, and practices in offices throughout the Pacific Northwest. The firm recently added structural engineering to its expanding line of services.

The Top 500 Design Firms list is published each May based on surveys conducted by ENR of companies that specialize in general and specialty contracting, engineering and environmental services, and other disciplines. The top 500 companies are then ranked from 1 to 500 based on annual revenue from work both domestic and abroad.
