PBS Principal Engineer, Mark Leece, PE, recently sat down with the Vancouver Business Journal to describe the opportunities for integrated green design during the brownfield redevelopment process.

Leece said “one of my passions is to evaluate a site, characterize it, do a feasibility study, then decide how cleanup will be incorporated into the development.”

A “brownfield site” means real property, the expansion, redevelopment, or reuse of which may be complicated by the potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant.
