PBS developed a pile repair scheme as an alternate to full replacement of
the causeway, hinge conveyor support, and pedestrian access bridge.
To provide safer warping, a new 100-ton bollard was installed on the main dock, midway between two dolphins.
Installation of the bollard required locally reinforcing the dock to receive the load and transfer it throughout the system.
