Brezee Creek Culvert Replacement and 4th Street Widening

 La Center, Washington
PROJECT PROFILE
This fish passage and street improvement project required extensive alternatives analysis and public outreach, leading to the first major bridge project designed by PBS.
Rich Darland, PE, Sr. Civil Engineer

PBS provided diverse services for this fish passage, bridge replacement, and stream corridor improvement project. Work include project management, land surveying, alternatives analysis, environmental permitting, overall engineering design, and public involvement services.

The project removes two fish passage barriers and replaces an undersized culvert beneath 4th Street with a 120-foot long precast concrete girder bridge. The project utilizes some federal funds, and the environmental permitting is being completed in compliance with all federal requirements.
