Two PBS projects were recognized by the Oregon American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) last month during the annual Engineering Excellence ceremony. Honor Awards were given to the PBS team for work the Vancouver Waterfront Transportation Improvements Project and the City of Camas Norwood Roundabout Project.
More than 26 projects from 21 firms were evaluated by a panel of judges based on complexity, innovation, value to the profession, and social, economic, and sustainable design considerations.
The waterfront project was recognized for balancing the needs of three different clients—the City of Vancouver, Port of Vancouver, and the developer—while providing transportation solutions that opened up the riverfront site to additional development opportunities.
The Norwood Roundabout project was recognized for its innovative design which serves as an attractive gateway to the City, while controlling high speed traffic in a way that minimizes the need for long-term maintenance.
Congratulations to the PBS engineering group for their achievement.
