The Portland Business Journal released its 2021 Top List of Environmental and Engineering Consulting Companies, ranking PBS Engineering and Environmental among the top three firms for in the environmental services category, and honor held since 2017. The firm also came in at #9 among Portland metro engineering firms. Companies were ranked by number of licensed engineering and environmental professionals in the Portland metro-area. The metro area is defined as Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties in Oregon and Clark County in Washington.

PBS’ engineering division has grown in recent years following the expansion of its transportation and infrastructure engineering groups, and addition of a structural engineering team.
