PBS’ Janine White, Senior Environmental and Regulatory Specialist at PBS Engineering and Environmental, was elected as a board member for the Oregon Chapter of the Air and Waste Management Association (AWMA). AWMA is a nonprofit organization that provides a neutral space for exchange of ideas, professional development, networking opportunities, education, and outreach. AWMA was founded in 1907, and since then has expanded to more than 5,000 members, 34 sections, and 65 chapters worldwide.
White has been involved in the Oregon chapter for the past 6 years and has utilized their webinars, brown bags, and networking opportunities regarding air quality and waste management. White began her career 22 years ago, and since then has developed a reputation as a knowledgeable resource when navigating the complex world of environmental compliance. She specializes in environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance, environmental management systems (EMS) and EHS auditing, permit assistance, and due diligence.
“I’m looking forward to supporting the AWMA Board as it seeks to increase visibility, provide different programs, and grow the diversity of its members,” White said.
White and the AWMA will continue to improve environmental knowledge by providing a space for education, networking, and development.
